Dave Croston is a veteran player whose career has spanned 3 decades.

Starting on violin at age 9, he switched to guitar in his early teens. Majoring in music composition and theory in college, he acquired the skills to quickly learn bass, keyboards and saxophone; then hit the road - usually winding up being the musical director of the bands he played with for many years to come.

When affordable good quality recording gear came into the music stores in the late 80s, Dave returned to Tacoma, Washington and opened a small studio. Catering to singers and songwriters, his self-taught engineering and producing skills kept him very busy while priming him for his next career move. "I knew very early on," he said, "that my ultimate goal was to write and record my own guitar music. But the level of competency required to be competitive in this musical arena was pretty stiff. So I took my time and built up ten years of experience producing, arranging and writing for others before I felt completely confident putting out a product with my name on it."

Dave continues to provide his teaching and studio services to the local music community. His debut Jazz flavored R&B album "Pulse of the City" was an instant hit and established Dave as a solid composer. Look for his new CD entitled "More Sugar...More Salt" coming out this Fall 2006!
